University Agreement Overview
We are excited to work with universities around the world to offer our premier training and certification opportunities to students! While our training is available to students and others directly through our website, we encourage universities to offer this training to students through a formal collaboration with Qualcomm Academy. By signing our university agreement and entering into this collaboration, universities can take advantage of thousands of dollars-worth of free training each year, joint marketing initiatives, and more. The agreement is free to sign and there are no financial obligations once the agreement is signed.

5G & AI Training Offered
Please see below for the training programs we offer through our University Agreement:
1. 5G University Program
Our 5G University Program includes a valuable professional development and recruitment opportunity for students around the world. The program takes 8-10 hours to complete, has no prerequisites, and consists of the following:
- Free 5G Training with Experienced Engineers: Online and self-paced training (normally $495) offered for free, covering topics such as 5G fundamentals, how 5G works, use cases, and more.
- Receive a 5G Certification from an Industry Leader: An online exam that certifies students as having foundational knowledge of 5G. This normally has a small cost, but is given for free through the university agreement.
- Chance to Get Noticed by Qualcomm Recruiters: We alert Qualcomm recruiters when participants pass the exam, which might help students get noticed by recruiters for potential internship positions.

While any student may sign up for this program through our website, we encourage universities to sign an agreement with Qualcomm Academy to collaborate on promoting this unique opportunity to students. 2. 5G Associate-Level Certification
Our 5G Associate-Level Certification certifies engineers as proficient in key areas of 5G and industry-ready for an associate-level wireless engineering position. The program consists of the following:
- In-Depth 5G Technical Training: This comprehensive program consists of 24 hours of online and self-paced learning, covering 5G technology fundamentals, air interface, beam management, mmWave, 5G architecture, and much more.
- Earn an Industry-Ready 5G Certification: Those who pass the online exam will receive a 5G Associate-Level Certificate, which certifies them as proficient in key areas of 5G and industry-ready for an associate-level wireless position.
- Train with a World Leader in 5G: Students have the chance to learn directly from industry-leading engineers from Qualcomm Technologies, a world leader in 5G.
Click here to learn more about this program. While this program normally costs $1,099, we offer 10 licenses for free and additional licenses at a heavily subsidized rate through the university agreement.
3. Qualcomm AI(R) Certification Program
Our Qualcomm AI Certification Program will launch in three phases throughout 2025. The first phase will consist of a free training program geared toward students who want to learn about exciting new Qualcomm AI platforms and tools. More details to come soon! Why Sign an Agreement with Qualcomm Academy?
- Collaborate with an Industry-Leader: This is a unique opportunity for universities to collaborate with a world leader in 5G and AI technology.
- Free 5G Certification Exams for Students: With an agreement in place, we offer your students 60 5G certifications free of charge each year, valued at a total of $12,440 (more than ₹1,000,000).
- Free 5G Introductory-Level Certification Exams for up to 50 students each year ($1,450 value)
- Free 5G Associate-Level Certifications for up to 10 students each year ($10,990 value)
- Joint Marketing Initiatives: We work with you and provide marketing resources – such as an extensive marketing kit – to ensure you have what you need to offer this program to your students.
- Program Registration Tracking: With an agreement in place, we can provide a unique tracking code that tracks how many students from your institution enroll in each program. We can provide this information to you whenever requested.
- Joint Press Release and/or Article Showcasing Collaboration: We work with you to publish a joint press release or similar type of article promoting our work together.
- Free to Sign the Agreement: The agreement is free to sign. There are optional subsidized programs through the agreement that universities may choose to purchase if they would like, but this is optional.
