What is Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G Associate-Level Certification?

Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G Associate-Level Certification is a comprehensive 5G certification that focuses on key 5G technologies. Instead of having to complete one certification for each 5G-related technology, our 5G Associate-Level Certification allows you to receive one in-depth certification from the company that invented many of the technologies that make 5G possible today.

This program has both a Standalone (SA) Mode track and a Non-Standalone (NSA) Mode track. Completing either track will certify you as proficient in the following:

  • 5G Technology Fundamentals
  • 5G Architecture
  • mmWave & Massive MIMO
  • Beam Management
  • 5G Air Interface Operation
  • E2E 5G Signaling Flows
  • 5G Protocol Stack
  • 5G Features, Including BWP, Mobility, Voice, and more

 

Standalone (SA) Mode Track vs. Non-Standalone (NSA) Mode Track

The SA and NSA tracks of this program both cover in detail the eight topics discussed in the section above. The key difference between the two tracks is that while the SA track tests you on SA fundamentals, the NSA track tests you on NSA fundamentals.

Certification Prep Courses

All exam questions are based on material from the following Qualcomm Academy courses. Note that the first two prep courses listed below for each track are the same – the difference between each track is the content in the third prep course listed. Each course above is taught by an experienced Qualcomm Technologies engineer using our flexible eLearning format, so you may take each course online and at your own pace. Note that you will have access to each course for one year from your date of purchase. Throughout this one-year period, you may access each course as many times as you would like to review slides, watch lectures, and take notes.

 

Certification Process

  1. Choose Your Certification Track: Decide whether you would like to pursue the SA Mode or NSA Mode track of this certification. If you would like to pursue both, please email us at academy@qti.qualcomm.com and we will send you a coupon code for a discount on one of the exams.
  2. Purchase Your Certification & Begin the Prep Courses: Click on the links below to purchase your certification. You will have access to the prep courses as soon as you complete your purchase.
  3. Schedule Your Exam: You will also see instructions for scheduling your exam date as soon as you complete your purchase. You may choose a date and time that is convenient for you. All exams are proctored and administered online through Prometric. Exams are two hours long and consist of 80 multiple-choice questions. You are not allowed to have your notes while taking the exam.
  4. Take Your Exam: After you choose your exam date, you will receive an email with instructions for the day of your test. You will receive your results within 2-3 weeks of taking the exam.
  5. Receive Your Certificate: If you pass the exam, we will email you your official Qualcomm Technologies certificate to display on your resume, CV, LinkedIn profile, or wherever you would like.

 

Certification Pricing

Both tracks cost $1,099, which includes all three prep courses and one attempt at the exam.
