5G NR SA Troubleshooting Workshop

In this course, you will troubleshoot problems that occur in the field for standalone deployments. First, we guide you through a set of steps that you can use for troubleshooting common issues. Then, after a brief recap of procedures for various aspects of an SA connection, we take you through various problem scenarios. For a hands-on experience, we present you with real-world logs and in-depth analysis of performance issues and failures that commonly occur in standalone deployments.

  • Procedures for UE registration and PDU session establishment along with the analysis of problems during these events
  • Standalone RRC states, procedures for cell selection and troubleshooting scenarios for idle mode failure
  • Procedures for random access including triggers and key configuration parameters along with problem solving RA failure
  • PDCCH DCI formats, Downlink data transmission and troubleshooting DL performance issues
  • UL scheduling procedures, UL resource allocation and power control and scenarios for troubleshooting
  • Procedures for Intra and Inter RAT mobility as well as analyzing logs for issues causing mobility failure
