The Qualcomm Wireless Academy (QWA) launched a comprehensive Location and Positioning Technical Training course, giving engineers and professionals in the industry a chance to broaden their knowledge in a crucial aspect of wireless technology. Below we discuss an outline of the course, who should take it, and how you can sign up.
This training is an introductory course covering an overview of location and positioning and the key technologies involved. To help learners understand the concepts in the course, we focus on several use cases involving positioning techniques specified by 3GPP in LTE and 5G. We also discuss Qualcomm’s location and positioning solutions.
The training is conducted through our flexible eLearning format, so you may learn online and at your own pace. We can also offer this course live to groups of at least 15 people if a company is interested in sponsoring this training for its employees.
This is a beginner-level course geared toward engineers, technical managers, and/or business professionals looking for an introduction to location and positioning and how the technologies involved can be applied in the workplace. This training is also part of our corporate program, meaning a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is required to be signed by a company before we can grant access to the course. While obtaining an NDA is a quick and simple process, this means we can only offer this training to individuals in coordination with their employers.
You can request access to this course by visiting the course page and clicking “Request Training,” or by requesting training directly here. Once you fill out the request form, we will be in touch to coordinate logistics, pricing, and course access.
